  • Job Description

    • Responsible for maintaining and overseeing Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Complaints and Satisfaction Programs, Utilization Reviews, Case Management and Interpreting Services at the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital facilities.
    • Chairs and leads the Hospital Wide Performance Improvement Committee and serves as a safety administrative liaison on Hospital committees including Medical Staff, Peer Review, Environment of Care and Infection Control committees.
    • Identifies and implements procedures, policies and systems to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations and the standards of the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
    • Provides liaison support and reporting to Chief Quality Office at Stony Brook University Hospital.

    Job Requirements & Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Nursing with a Master Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field or Physician or Physician License required.
    • Demonstrated track record of successfully performing in a related role.
    • Ability to aggregate, analyze and report on quality intelligence data.
    • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, New York State Health Code (Section 405) and CMS standards.
